While people will argue to the end of time about how important or unimportant signature links are in forums, it is impossible to say they do nothing. Forum signature links do show up in a backlink search though because most of the thread pages have little or no page rank, it is not considered a strong backlink. Regardless of the mystique that shrouds the true value of signature links as backlinks, they can be used to drive a large amount of traffic to your site- especially if the forum you are posting in is related to your website. Getting back to the point, this post was not intended to talk about signature links. Since I have gotten a good response from my “do follow” blog list, I decided that it was only logical to make a “do follow” forum list. This list will also be updated frequently.

If you find yourself in a similar situation as me, being stuck using work, college campus or under the rule of an overaggressive network administrator, you understand the my frustration when attempting to download torrents.

This is such a general request that it inevitably always goes unanswered. I can safely assume that most of these people posting such requests are getting bored or want to impress their friends by getting into parts (or changing parts) of websites without the proper authorization. Recently I, and a few of my friends, have been in close competition on Facebook’s “Addicted to Scrubs” trivia game. Usually I was 2nd or 3rd in our group because I did not have the free time (or desire to waste it all on silly trivia games). Recently this has changed due to a simple, compact macro creation program that I stumbled upon after some searching.

After trying several macro programs, the best one that I could find to replicate mouse clicks was Macro Recorder 4.1, by JitBit. Macro Recorder 4.1 allows you to record unlimited macros during their 28 day evaluation period. The only drawback to the evaluation is that only the first 20 commands of a given recorded macro can be compiled to an .exe while using the trial. None the less, I was able to run my macro which had far more than 20 commands by simply clicking the play all button when I was finished building the macro. More »
